Candidates who’s age is not more then 30years as specified in Punjab and Sind Bank jobs notification and having qualification of Graduate Degree from the university/ Institute recognized by the Government of India with relevant experience (if any) are eligible to apply for the post.

Recruitment of Probationary Officers – 2012-13

Punjab & Sind Bank invites applications for the post of Probationary Officers from Indian citizens who have taken the Common Written Examination for Probationary Officers/ Management Trainees conducted by IBPS in 2011 and have a valid Score card issued by IBPS & who meet the eligibility criteria prescribed below.

Probationary Officers total vacancy – 900

Total number is vacancy is 900 though for SC quota 123 seats, for ST 139, for OBC 222 and for GEN quota they have reserved 416 seats.

SCALE OF PAY: Rs.14500 – 600/7-18700-700/2-20100-800/7– 25700

PROBATION PERIOD: Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of two years from the date of joining the Bank.


A candidate must be either i) a Citizen of India or ii) a subject of Nepal or iii) subject of Bhutan or iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be allowed to appear in Interview conducted by the Bank but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the Government of India has issued the necessary eligibility certificate to him/her.


Application Fee: Rs50/- fee is to be paid by SC/ ST/ PH candidates.
All Others : Rs.200/-

The fee for SC/ST/PWD candidates is towards postage/ intimation charges only and for others the fee includes postal charges of Rs.50/-

Requisite Application Fee may be paid


(i) Through designated CBS Branches of Punjab & Sind Bank, by means of a Payment challan as per the format given on the Bank’s website.


(ii) Through NEFT at any other Bank’s branch
