ek-tha-tiger-katrinaJuly 18, Mumbai: Latest media reports says that Yash Raj had sold the Satellite rights of EK THA TIGER to Sony for a whopping Rs 75 crores. If true, the price could change the dynamics of films starring A-list stars in times to come, with film-makers recovering their entire investment from the sale of Satellite Rights alone.

But Sony Entertainment Television (SET) denied the reports. Sneha Rajani , Senior Executive Vice President and Business Head of SET says, “Let me set the record straight. Sony had clinched the deal for the Satellite Rights of Ek Tha Tiger almost 15 to 16 months ago, not last week or in the recent past. In fact, we clinched the deal even before the Yash Raj commenced filming Ek Tha Tiger. Besides, do you think we would’ve paid this ridiculous price 15-16 months ago? We wouldn’t settle for it even today.”

“The figure [75 cr] is miles away from the actual price paid by Sony. In fact, I wish to add that Yash Raj is an extremely responsible and professional setup and Yash-ji sees to it that not just his company, but even those who associate with Yash Raj benefit from the collaboration.” she added.

Salman Khan plays a secret agent in the film and Katrina plays his love interest. The film marks as their first film together even since their break up. The film trailer has already created a waves among Salman’s fans.

The first official trailer of Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger received a roaring response of almost five lakh hits on YouTube in less than 24 hours, since it release. Besides, Katrina Kaif’s all new look in Ek Tha Tiger is getting rave reviews after the new trailer hit the screens.

The trailer is a subject of discussion on various social networking sites and has been trending on Twitter, with fans expressing excitement about seeing Salman romancing with ex- lover Katrina Kaif for the first time on- screen after their break- up.

Scheduled for an August 15 release, which also heralds the Eid weekend, Ek Tha Tiger, made on a budget of Rs.117 crore, is being billed as the film that could break all Bollywood records.
