Kareena Kapoor starrer ‘Heroine’ gets A-certificate from Censor Board.

kareena-kapoorJuly 17, Mumbai: Director Madhur Bhandarkar’s upcoming film ‘Heroine’ has given an Adults only certificate by Censor Board of India.

“As expected got a ‘A’ certificate from the censor board,” tweeted Bhandarkar. The maker of reality inspired films like ‘Chandni Bar’, ‘Page 3’, ‘Satta’, ‘Corporate’ and ‘Fashion’ is counting down to the launch of the poster and promos of Kareena Kapoor-starrer Heroine, his most ambitious project so far. Previously, Fashion too released with an ‘A’ rating.

‘Heroine’ revolves around the ups and downs of a heroine in the cine industry and it is said that Kareena has surpassed all her previous performances with this one.

It can be recalled the earlier, ‘Heroine’ was launched with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in lead; however, Kareena got on board, after Aishwarya walked out of the project owing to her pregnancy.

Along with Kareena, the movie also features Arjun Rampal. It is expected to release on 14 September. The original leading lady for the movie was to have been Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. But on account of her pregnancy, she had backed out of the movie after she had already shot for some scenes. Eventually, Kareena stepped in to essay the role.
