Kidnapped actress Laila Khan shot dead in J&K by terrorists.

laila-khanJuly 5, Srinagar: Laila Khan, the actress who had been missing for almost a year now, was apparently shot dead in Jammu and Kashmir according to the local police. Laila who was said to have strong links with the terror networks, was reportedly killed along with her entire family by three men.

Jammu & Kashmir Police claim that terror-linked starlet Laila Khan’s friend Pervez Tak revealed during interrogation that Laila is dead. Pervez has said that Laila along with her family was murdered in 2011 for money. Laila came under the scanner when it emerged that her a car registered under her mother’s name was used for ferrying explosives by terrorists.

The Pakistani actress was married to Munir Khan, a member of a terrorist group, made her Bollywood debut with Wafa: A Deadly Love Story in 2008. The actress went missing alone with her mom, two sisters and her step-father, 11 months before. She was alleged to have links with the terror group, of which her husband is a part of, and was also suspected to be involved in the Delhi High Court bomb blast, in 2011

Laila whose original name is Reshma Patel, went missing while acting in director Rakesh Sawant’s Jinnat.

Laila’s name has been associated with terror outfits. She came under the scanner of the Delhi High Court blast probe after it emerged that a Mitsubishi Outlander (MH02-AY-7867), which was registered in her mother`s name Saleena Patel, was used for ferrying explosives by terrorists. There is also proves of Laila’s association with terrorist group Lashkar-e-Toiba.

On June 7, a special team of Maharashtra ATS along with J&K police carried a raid and discovered diamond and gold jewellery along with cash valued at over Rs 2 crore which the family was carrying in SUV. Crime branch department for Kishtwad, Jammu will take custody of Tak in Laila’s murder case. The Crime branch has also recorded Nadir Patel, Laila’s biological father’s statement and registered a case of murder based on his statement.

According to the complaint, Laila, along with six other family members, including her mother Shelina Patel, elder sister Hazmina, twin siblings Zara and Imran, and a relative, were allegedly kidnapped by Tak and another accused in February last year from her flat in Oshiwara.
