Bawana Cracker factory fire killed 17 workers

Bawana Delhi FireBawana, Delhi : Till now the casualty toll stand at 17, all killed are factory worker. The owner of the factory was arrested by Delhi Police.

The fire was first reported to the Delhi fire department at 6:30 pm yesterday evening, they have rushed to the spot as soon as possible and tried to control the fire. It was a fire cracker factory and lots of crackers were there, fire was not controllable, killed everyone trapped inside the factory building.

Union health minister J P Nadda, twitted “Deeply saddened by the fire incident in Bawana.
Condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and I pray for speedy recovery to the ones who are injured. ”

“I have directed officials of @MoHFW_INDIA to provide immediate support. Union Health Secretary has spoken to Chief Secretary Delhi. AIIMS trauma centre and Burn Unit Of Safadjung Hospital is ready to provide all support.”

LG Delhi also twitted “Saddened by the Bawana fire tragedy. Have spoken to officials concerned for necessary action. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families. May God give them strength to recover from this tragic incident.”

Arvind kejriwal has already visited the site of the fire incident, he reached there around 12:30 and twitted “V sad to hear abt large no of casualties. Keeping a close watch on rescue operations

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced Rs. 5 Lakh as compensation to the kind of the dead, and Rs. 1 Lakh to the injured.
