Lalu Yadav, Jagannath Mishra both got convicted in Fodder Scam, it is third conviction for Lalu Yadav and second for Jagannath Mishra.

50 got convicted in Chaibasa fodder case, CBI judge S S Prasad pronounced both CM guilty in the case, which is fraudulent withdraw of Rs. 37.62 crore from Chaibasa treasury in the years 1990s.

The court have sentenced Lalu Yadav to five years of jail and also imposed 10 lakh as fine. Jagannath Mishra also gets 5 years in jail sentence.

This is third conviction in same Fodder scam, it will increase problems for Lalu Yadav and family. There is some speculation of possibility split in RJD because of this. It might not happen because after dissolution of the grand coalition, the MY theory of Lalu gets strong.

The RJD chief was convicted in the fodder scam case for the first time in 2013 and he was awarded five years imprisonment. He was released on bail by the Supreme Court after having remained in jail for over two-and-a-half months.

The 69-year-old Prasad is currently lodged in the Birsa Munda Jail in Ranchi and most probably will be moved to some other jail soon.
