Narendra Modi leaves for Davos to attend World Economic Forum

Almost everyone is talking about Narendra Modi’s Davos visit for World Economic Forum. PM Modi is going to be the first leader to address the 48th WEF’s annual meeting, it is a proud moment as India is given chance for the opening address.

In an exclusive interview Modi said that he will ask for attention of world leaders to tackle existing and emerging challenges faced by the contemporary global system. He also said he will be very proud to tell the success stories of 1.25 billion Indians.

He twitted,“ I look forward to my first visit to the World Economic Forum at Davos, at the invitation of India’s good friend and Founder of the WEF, Prof Klaus Schwab. The theme of the Forum, “Creating a Shared Future in a Fractured World” is both thoughtful and apt. @wef #IndiaMeansBusiness

Prime Minister Modi will be accompanied by 6 ministers including finance minister Arun Jaitley and commerce and industry minister Suresh Prabhu. Arun jaitley and Suresh Prabhu is also scheduled to deliver keynote address at the WEF’s meeting.

Narendra Modi twitted,” At Davos, I look forward to sharing my vision for India’s future engagement with the international community. @wef #IndiaMeansBusiness

Indian prime minister and group is also going to hold bilateral talks with president of Swiss Confederation, Alain Berset, which is scheduled on Tuesday. Our PM will also going to hold meetings with business leaders and also going to address the International Business Council.

Narendra Modi twitted,” I am confident that these bilateral meetings would be fruitful and give a boost to our relations with these countries and further strengthen economic engagement”

It is speculated that Narendra Modi and US president Trump might have a meeting there.
