Padmaavat protest gone violent at Ahmadabad, Karni Sena denied their role

Violent protest brook in different of country in protest of the movie Padmaavat.

Malls and shops vandalized by the violent mod, who were protesting against the release of the movie Padmaavat. Around 25 vehicles were put on fire, police have to fire bullets in the air to disperse the violent crowd.

There were around 2000 people protesting outside Acropolis mall in front of PVR Cinemas, which was supposed to screen Padmaavat movie on 25th Jan. The crown turned violent suddenly and it did not take much time to vandalize mall, cinema hall, and few shops. The protest went so violent that Ahmadabad police have fire two rounds to control the mob.

Karni Sena and deputy CM Nitin Patel appealed people to refrain from violence and also asked people to not watch the movie. He said, “We had banned Padmaavat’s release respecting feelings of the Rajput community. However, there is tension in the state and the present situation is because of the Supreme Court order allowing its release. We feel that people should voluntarily boycott the film.”

Violent protest against Padmaavat is rising as the date of the movie release comes closer. Reports of violence are coming from all corners of the country, we had reports of such protests from Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan etc.

We Indiya News team appeal the citizen to maintain peace, especially the Rajputs, we support the sole cause of the agitation but not the violence.
