India-Pak match casts shadow on Goa Assembly

Mar 29 (PTI) Panaji, In the wake of the crucial World Cup semi-final between India and Pakistan at Mohali, the Goa Legislative Assembly today unanimously resolved to wind up the working of the House tomorrow by afternoon.

At the fag end of the session, Deputy Speaker Mauvin Godinho urged the Speaker to wind up the working of tomorrow’s session by 2 pm.

He was supported by Leader of Opposition Manohar Parrikar and Congress legislator Dayanand Narvekar, who is also the Goa Cricket Association chief.

Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Pratapsingh Rane agreed for a half day session tomorrow, stating that since there is unanimity in the House he will adjourn the session at 1 pm, when it breaks up for lunch.
